The chord progression for the verses of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" were used for
The Cars' song "Just What I Needed" but transposed to G major. ("I Want To Hold
Your Hand" is in G major.)
In a review of the Rolling Stones, an American journalist commented "...the
Beatles want to hold your hand but the Stones want to burn your town..."
A movie produced by Steven Spielberg bearing the title "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" was released in 1978. In it, six teenagers from Maplewood, New Jersey
travel to New York City to see the first appearance of the Beatles on the
"Ed Sullivan Show" in spite of the fact that none of them have tickets. They
all do find their way to the studio in time for the celebrated performance.
