Jack Paar screened film footage of the Beatles on his television program on January 3rd, 1964 and that marked the first time Americans heard "She Loves You". After Capitol Records released "I Want To Hold Your Hand", Swan Records re-activated "She Loves You" which it had had in its vaults since late summer of 1963. The single entered the Hot 100 at number 69 on January 25, 1964 and became number 1 on March 21, 1964 remaining so for 2 weeks.
Incredibly, "Can't Buy Me Love" followed "She Loves You", a phenomenon unequalled to this day!
