It entered the Hot 100 at number 41 on August 7th, 1965, two weeks before the film of the same name premiered in New York. On September 4th, 1965 it got "I've Got You, Babe" [Sonny and Cher] off the charts. "Help!" enjoyed the number one position for 3 weeks until Barry McGuire's "Eve Of Destruction".
