"Get Back" was the Beatles 17th number one single. It was released in America on May 5th, 1969 with "Don't Let Me Down" on the flip side. It supplanted The Fifth Dimension's "Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In". "Get Back" remained number one for five weeks. On June 28th, it was replaced by "Love Theme From 'Romeo and Juliet'" by Henry Mancini [the guy that wrote the "Pink Panther Theme"].
