Brian Holland, with his brother, Eddie, and Lamont Dozier, formed the hit-making songwriting team of Holland-Dozier-Holland for Motown in the '60s. Brian Holland who began collaborating with Lamont Dozier on the Marvelettes' "Please Mr. Postman," then Eddie joined the group and the string of hits for the Supremes and the Four Tops began. Among their hits: "Where Did Our Love Go" and "You Keep Me Hangin ' On" for the Supremes and "Baby, I Need Your Loving" and "It's the Same Old Song" for the Four Tops. They also wrote "Heat Wave" for Martha and the Vandellas. After leaving Motown in 1968, they formed the Invictus and Hot Wax record labels.
